Goodbye to a Dear Friend
I just lost one of my best friends ever.
Bud was my racing father. He signed my first racing license in the 80's and he signed my son's first racing license as well. He was the chief steward and an important person in the lives of racers in SCCA, SVRA, VDCA, IMSA, HSR, PCA and BMW Clubs, and probably more than that. Racing was his life. He was known, respected, and loved by many. He was tough, fair, and committed to racers being safe on the track. He was watching the 24 hours of Daytona when he passed into his next life.
Bud served on the Board of Directors of Florida region SCCA and Zoeller Ministries. He was a champion for “Kids Racing For Life”, a ministry to kids who were sick. A very special man!
Racing will never be the same without you, Bud. You'll always be remembered and loved.
Race Season 2015
As we start dipping our toes in to racing our green and orange 914/6 again, here is our tentative race schedule for 2015! We hope to add an event or two, possibly HSR at Road Atlanta and Daytona. We also have several customers in other series which we will be supporting as needed. Check out our calendar link on the left to a full list of events for HSR, NASA, SVRA, & VDCA (click on each event for event details).
Our shop will be closed Thursday, January 1, 2015 in celebration of the new year. Everyone at Black Forest Racing would like to wish you a very happy and safe New Years Eve!
